How Much of an Investment is a Home Inspection?

Freedom Home Inspections uses a FLAT FEE RATE for quoting a home inspection.  Our inspection goes above and beyond the NACHI Standards of Practice and includes the following items, some of which are added on as extras by our competitors:

  • Full inspection of the home and one garage or carport
  • Optional FREE Mold Screen Inspcetion of the Property ($100 value)
  • Optional 90 or 120 day Limited Home Warranty (when applicable)
  • Mileage to and from home
  • Certified Inspector's Labor
  • Digital Images as necessary
  • Full Computer generated Report printed on site 
  • Energy Saving Recommendations
  • Continued customer service and support for questions for up to 6 months after the date of the inspection.
  • Discounts for additional or multiple items completed within 6 months of initial inspection: another full property inspection,  any ancillary services, re-checks.

The quote for your property inspection will be based upon the listing price and total area of the home plus ancillary services combined with any applicable discounts. Here is a list of the payment options available and the benefits associatied with each:

 

1. Cash

Benefits:

  • Traceable through invoice/receipt
  • Immediate & convenient. 
  • Payment is given directly to the Inspector 

2. Personal Checks, Cashier's Checks, or Money Orders

Benefits:

  • Traceable to a particular mailing address
  • Immediate & convenient
  • Provides proof of payment
  • Payment is given directly to the Inspector

3. PayPal

Send funds directly to anyone with an e-mail account from a verified bank account or by using a credit card

 

(3% service charge for using this option)

  • Traceable
  • Immediate & convenient
  • Automatic payment tracking
  •  Payment is deposited directly into the inspector’s account
  • No requirement that you use your credit card online (you can transfer directly from your bank account)

Starting 10/10/8 Freedom Home Inspections will also accept Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards with either logo onsite upon completion of your scheduled inspection.

Freedom Home Inspections also offers the following services : 

Radon Gas Testing using a continuous monitor - $125

Initial Mold Screen Inspection, without samples - $100

Initial Mold Screen Inspection with detailed report and 2 samples - $250, additional samples only $75 each

Mold and Air Quality Sampling - $75-$125 per sample depending on type

Wood Destroying Insects and Organisms (Termite Inspection) - $75

Water Quality Testing:  A trip fee may also be applied as needed.

  • Total Coliform Bacteria / E. Coli Bactria / Nitrates - $100
  • Nitrates only - $50
  • Total Bacteria & E. Coli Bacteria only - $75
  • Arsenic - $50
  • Lead - $50
  • pH - $15
